<div><font size="3"><font face="Calibri">At the beginning of every BRSPUG meeting, we will have some time allotted for attendees to share their experiences before proceeding to the main event. “Share YOUR Point” could be an incident, problem, solution, technique or any surprise or excitement you have encountered while working with SharePoint that you would like to share with peers.  All the comments will be moderated and posted so that they are available on the internet.   </font></font></div>
<div><font size="3"><font face="Calibri">We’re inviting all attendees to contribute to this portion of our meeting.   Participation is first-come, first-serve, and we are only allowing three ‘Share YOUR Point’ speakers per meeting.   Each contributor will receive 5 minutes to speak and answer questions, and each will receive a ‘I Shared My Point’ t-shirt for their efforts.</font></font></div>

<div><em><span style="font-size:12pt">Do you know the deep dark secrets about your data?   Do you know what it is exactly and why it’s there?   Do you know what to do with it 3 years from now?   If you are like most content administrators in SharePoint, then you likely answered ‘No’ to each of those questions.   Attaching metadata to content properly and consistently can solve this issue.   SharePoint 2010 provides admins and users with unique and powerful ways to effectively leverage metadata.  Marc will look at a few of the new way:  Auto-tagging and Property Bags.</span></em></div>

This session will help you understand how the Managed Metadata Service fits in with SharePoint 2010 and some business usage scenarios.  You will learn best practices on configuration, implementation, and feature usage of “MMS” and related terminology.   This session will also discuss new features in SharePoint 2010 information architecture and design considerations related to Enterprise Keywords, Managed Terms, Content Type Hubs, Metadata Publishing, content tagging and much more!!!</font></font></div>
<div><font size="3"><font face="Calibri"><strong>Phillip Blake</strong> has over 16 years of experience working in Information Systems and Engineering projects.  He has experience in all Microsoft server products including SharePoint, SQL Server, and the .NET framework.  He is a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer/Trainer, as well as a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and a Certified Service Oriented Architecture Professional.  Phillip works for Geocent as a SharePoint Architect and holds a BS in Civil Engineering from Louisiana State University.</font></font></div>

This session will first provide you with the basics of using PowerShell and then dive into using PowerShell to manage SharePoint 2010. You will learn everything from scripting out deployments to managing sites using PowerShell. This session will also show SharePoint administrators how to automate common SharePoint tasks.</font></font></div>
